October 12 in Beckman

I've reserved performance time for us at the Beckman Institute on north campus, from 12:20 to 1 pm. It's a paying gig. We'll need to bring our own amplification, but I think that shouldn't be too hard. As soon as possible I'd like to get names of interested performers and instruments; and I also need a group name for publicity.

Any ideas? Did I mention it's a paying gig?

I'm down. I will offer any of my services to the performance (I suppose that includes my experience as a roadie).

Oh, right... name suggestion: "the UIUC-CMPC Ensemble" or "Brian Dennehy's Flying Circus" or "The Keyser Söze Big Brass Band."

There's always the computer music special: improvisers, knobs, effects, mappings... magic.

ooh yeah! I have a full rock band's worth of instruments and amps, and access to plenty of cool mics and other toys (ring modulator!) Let's freak out the engineers at lunch...
