Live instruments vs. soundfile playback
Simultaneous jamming by more than one group?
Will each group do a single 5-6 minute set, or splinter into smaller songs that fit together?
Group improv vs. pre-composed - set a perimeter for musical action
"Battle of the bands"
Other possibilities: Circus Maximus (Corigliano), Europera (Cage)
at least 2 audio interfaces, 2 mics (to eliminate downtime)

Beckman will provide the PA, which will help greatly - I'm going to check it out this week.

If you'd like yet another opportunity to perform the set, the collegiate chapter of the Music Teachers National Association is looking for Guest Artist/Lecturers for the November "Music Club":

Sunday, November 5
3:30 pm
Smith 25

It's a 30 minute presentation for pre-college kids (right now they are generally aged 12 and under). Sorry, no pay, but we do make sure that you receive a formal thank you. Personally I'd like to see more New Music sets at these "Music Clubs", but that's just a hidden (or not so hidden) Presidential agenda.
